Make sure that the nursing home area is safe, easy to use, clean and comfortable for residents, staff and the public.

Provide and implement an infection prevention and control program.

Employ sufficient staff with the appropriate competencies and skills sets to carry out the functions of the food and nutrition service, including a qualified dietician.

Provide appropriate care for residents who are continent or incontinent of bowel/bladder, appropriate catheter care, and appropriate care to prevent urinary tract infections.

Make sure that the nursing home area is safe, easy to use, clean and comfortable for residents, staff and the public.

Provide and implement an infection prevention and control program.

Provide behavior health training consistent with the requirements and as determined by a facility assessment.

Provide training in compliance and ethics.

Conduct mandatory training, for all staff, on the facility’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Program.

Arrange for the provision of hospice services or assist the resident in transferring to a facility that will arrange for the provision of hospice services.

Develop the complete care plan within 7 days of the comprehensive assessment; and prepared, reviewed, and revised by a team of health professionals.

Assess the resident when there is a significant change in condition

Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent abuse, neglect, and theft.

Assure the security of all personal funds of residents deposited with the facility.
